The Role

Becoming an architect inside Stratpoint will allow you to demonstrate, develop and extend your architecture skills in Data, AI, Cloud, and system integration. Your Team

We are a team of young and eager adventurers. You will enjoy the collaboration of team members within the project and capability. You will also get the opportunity to work with external stakeholders in the successful completion of project objectives.

You will work closely with our business partners, the household brands in technology, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft and Outsystems.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide technical and management guidance to Data Engineers or Project Leads on delivering projects by reviewing their output and teaching them technical skills and management skills for them to be able to execute the project delivery at the expected level of quality.
• Reviewing the technical output of their mentees means understanding the project requirements and technical goals in order to provide the right guidance to create technical solutions to project problems. Be able to lead also by example as necessary when the need arises such as discussing with customers infrastructure solutions so that the mentees will be able to learn.
• Be involved in the pre-sales process by providing technical input in the design and crafting of the solution, help draft the proposal in terms of technical write up, documentation, and cost, as well as client negotiation. Can also work with mentees to coach them on how to do pre-sales.
• Can lead capability groups and build on it according to the capability framework.Work with the Head of Capabilities to determine directions and plans.
• Keep up to date on trends and technical knowledge to support multiple projects, whether internal initiatives or external client projects be it in design, implementation, or troubleshooting in order to improve what is already existing or bring in something new in terms of tools, processes, or practice.
• Assess mentees and capability group’s training needs. Prepare training materials and conduct training activities. Assess output of training and improve as necessary. Work with L&D for the training plans.

 About You

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or any related degree / vocational courses
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role with extensive exposure to data; data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, data science, or similar relevant experience
• You are solution driven and you have a strong analytical mindset, combined with creative skills
• You demonstrate leadership potential with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
• You are enthusiastic, driven, and proactive, taking ownership and accountability of your work
• You have a strong business acumen and enjoy working in client-facing roles
• You have hands-on experience in projects relating to data solutions (data lake, system integration, data migration, data warehousing experience with cloud-based data platforms).
• Sound knowledge on modern data solutions such as data lakes, data platforms, data streaming, and data security best practices
• General knowledge of cloud native computing, public hyperscalers (Azure, AWS and/or GCP).
• You show an interest in new technologies, methodologies, and concepts such as data governance & management, data mesh, data vault 2.0, delta lake, DWH automation, event streaming
• Have completed a data development project from start to completion (pre-sales to post-production and maintenance)
• Hands-on programming skills in open source technologies (e.g java, python, scala, etc.) as well as database design and administration.
• Can assess technical products and systems; for purposes of troubleshooting, extension, design, and potential adoption
• Comfortable with all related pre-sales processes such as drafting proposals, estimation, costing, client negotiations, and bidding activities, including the creation of Architecture Design documentation and related literature
• Comfortable in managing technical teams and providing guidance both in technical direction ways of working; including mentoring, coaching, and people development and hiring.
• Able to strategize and plan technical solutions and approaches and map these to client needs and requirements; including negotiations with clients on project timelines, technical debt, and implementation details
• Maintains a "Technology Radar", ensuring up-to-date, practical technical expertise that can be used to accurately guide and support project teams if necessary.
