The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Head of Product Design and Development who is responsible for overseeing the Product Design and Development pillar. This position will drive user-centric innovation and ensure the highest standards in designing and developing comprehensive product features. The Head of Product Design and Development will lead a team of Product Designers, BAs (Business Analysts), CX (Customer Experience), UX (User Experience), and UI (User Interface) specialists, to create products that are visually appealing, user-friendly, feature-rich, and aligned with business objectives.

Your Team

• You will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
• You will supervise Product Designers, CX, UI/UX Designers and Business Analysts.
• You will be working in tandem with the Head of Architecture Governance, Head of ITPMO, Head of Systems Engineering, L&D Team and Business Units.

Your Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Designers, BAs, CX, UX, and UI designers.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Product Design and Development team.
• Ensure alignment of the Product Design and Development team’s goals with Stratpoint’s strategic objectives.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor resource performance against these metrics, making adjustments as needed.

Product Strategy and Development:

• Define and implement product strategies that prioritize user experience and align with industry trends.
• Oversee the design and development of product features, ensuring they are user-friendly, innovative, and aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to product launch, ensuring a strong focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

User Research and Testing:

• Conduct user research to inform design decisions and ensure products are built with a deep understanding of user needs.
• Oversee the creation of prototypes and the testing of designs to validate ideas and iterate on solutions quickly.
• Maintain high standards of visual and interactive design across all products.

Collaboration and Integration:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; Head of Architecture Governance, Head of ITPMO, Head of Systems Engineering, L&D Team and Business Units, FCTOs, including marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery while maintaining a strong focus on CX.
• Foster collaboration between design, engineering, and business teams to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions.
• Support pre-sales and sales activities by providing insights into product capabilities and features.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and ensure that product solutions meet their needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product design and developments and progress.
• Address client and stakeholder concerns promptly and effectively.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Drive continuous improvement in product design and development practices by adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Product Design and Development team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to experiment with new ideas and technologies.

About You
You are/have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Have experience building a startup from the ground up as Founder / Co-Founder.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing diverse product development teams.
• Strong expertise in product strategy, user research, design thinking, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in supporting pre-sales and sales activities and defining product solutions for clients.
